ELEGY: LAMENT IN THE 20TH CENTURY
An exhibition identity for Elegy: Lament in the 20th Century at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The project uses graphic and spatial elements to hold themes of grief, loss, and remembrance. The system creates a quiet, immersive atmosphere — one that supports reflection and emotional proximity.
Typography is paired with material interventions, most notably a suspended scrim that functions as both surface and threshold. Acting as a translucent veil, it introduces a layer of separation and permeability, framing the exhibition as a space between presence and absence.
