Graphics for “Boeken als.../Books as…”, a new exhibition at Huis van het Boek in Den Haag,NL . Boeken als... delves into the multifaceted roles books play in society and personal life, featuring works from Huis van het Boek’s collection alongside contemporary pieces by artists such as Shani Leseman, An Onghena, Jorge Mendez Blake, and Hans Op de Beeck. Once the personal residence of Baron Van Westreenen van Tiellandt (1783–1848), the museum retains the same intimate atmosphere centuries later. The identity uses typography to bridge historical references with contemporary elements, complemented by a rope motif that adds both graphic and tactile qualities, also seen throughout the intimate exhibition. This approach highlights the connection between tradition and modernity, seamlessly tying the old and the new together.
